A Better Alternative - A Note on How We Ship Items

What does this mean? It means an incredibly safe and streamlined shipment process for your new tank or supplies. No loading, shipping to a stockhouse, unloading, storing for weeks or months until ordered, loading once again, shipping again, and finally unloading before getting to your door. This leaves too many opportunities for damage or mishaps that could cause product failure on its way from the manufacturer to you.
Because of our close relationship with our brands, we are able to ship items directly from their location to your door with no stops in between.
Our shipping method is simple. An order is placed with Two Tides, the item is shipped out straight from the manufacturer (often fresh after production), and the item arrives right to your door within a few days. This is a much safer, faster, and more reliable method for large products like aquariums, delicate products like electronics, and items that can spoil like fish or coral food.
As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. This means that we have received your order in our system and have pre-authorized your credit card or PayPal account for the purchase. You will also have a team member reach out to you to guide you through the shipping and receiving process.
As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our manufacturers/distributors to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment (or production). If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail to determine the best course of action for your needs. If your item(s) are available, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.
Please note that many products sold by Two Tides are built to order or have certain custom component or specification options which can either mildly or greatly affect shipping and transit times.
We understand that every single order is unique, and we do our best to correctly estimate when your order will arrive at your door. However, all blanket estimates for shipping times are just that, estimates, and are subject to change.

If your order is in stock (or is ready to be custom built for you) and we process the charges to your credit card or PayPal account, it will ship within 2-8 business days from the date of your order (Can be longer for custom orders or in other special cases). We will notify you if your order is expected to arrive outside of this 2-8 business day window.
We will aim to send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. If you do not receive tracking information from us within 5 business days of your order (or simply want to check the status of your order), feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Free or Discounted Shipping Notice

Any Expedited, Priority, Rush, or Next-Day Shipping may or may not be discounted and will be handled on an individual order basis.
